Brother MFC-8710DW MFP Monochrome Laser Printer

In addition to Brother recently launched line of monochrome laser printers, we'll be featuring one new model from its small-office MFP line, none other than the MFC-8710DW multifunction laser printer. Its key features include basic MFP functionality in its compact size, supports double-sided printing, an ADF (automatic-document-feeder), a flatbed scanner for legal-sized documents, plus a generous paper handling capacity.

As an introduction for the 8710DW, the printer is actually well coated in black and gray, with a dimension about 19" x 16" x 18", maybe a bit large but it's quite considerable. Built most likely with a resembling style from previous models of Brother MFC printers, with a small bottom area but with wider top panel. The printer's upper part features a glass flatbed legal-size scanner, and on top of it is where the 50-sheet ADF situates which works for scanning, copying and faxing files or documents in large sizes.

It doesn't include a touchscreen display, instead there's a mono LCD located in the middle of the printer's front panel with dedicated buttons side-by-side to it. The three main keys including scan, copy and fax button are placed below the LCD. While its four-directional navigation key, as well as numeric keypads are mounted at the right side, on the opposite sides are eight speed-dial buttons plus quick 11 keys.

Replacing the printer's consumables will require a user to press a button in the middle of the output tray. There's only one laser toner cartridges to be replaced since it's just a monochrome printer, and is available in both standard yield and high-capacity replacements.

Paper handling capacity consists of a 50-sheet multipurpose tray inserted in front, and a 250-sheet main tray located at the bottom for plain paper sheets. For additional capacity, there's an optional 500-sheet paper tray that you can purchase to max out the printer into 800 sheets.

Networking interfaces include : WiFi 802.11 b/g/n for wireless printing , Ethernet and hi-speed USB 2.0 for wired printing, all these can be found on the back of the machine.
