Erasable Toners From Toshiba With Their e-STUDIO 306LP/RD30 MFP Laser Printer

Erasable Toners From Toshiba With Their e-STUDIO 306LP/RD30 MFP Laser Printer
This thing isn't new to many, actually there are few devices that support or perform the same technology where prints can be erased through heat processing. If you're familiar or have heard of Pilot's FriXion pen that uses thermo-sensitive gel ink formula, it is where they similarly derived the idea of creating an MFP printer that is capable of using erasable toners to print. The company behind this innovation is none other Toshiba America Business Solutions. To introduce a new era of printing, the company developed the e-STUDIO 306LP/RD30 multifunction printer.

There's nothing much special with the printer itself aside that it functions similarly of par with most MFP laser printers in its range. However, the special feature of this device can't be found to any printers in the market nowadays, as far as I know. A specially formulated toner that is certainly unique, as the output may it be text, graphics or images can be totally erased from a sheet of paper. The good news is that the printer doesn't require any special type of print paper to make the process possible.

Through this technology, or it's more appropriate to say, through the RD30 printer's special printing system, offices may get a lot of benefits from it, not to mention the huge cut to their overall printing expense. Since regular printer papers are mainly supported, there's no additional cost to worry about. Furthermore, the e-STUDIO 306LP/RD30 MFP works exactly like any other multifunction printers.

Unfortunately, getting the printer alone won't suffice cause it's a system, which means that you also need to have the Eraser. It's more appropriate to call it that way, since it literally functions as an eraser. The whole process goes like this, print your files or any documents to the printer equipped with laser toner cartridges filled with specially erasable toner, then if you want to erase the printout from the sheet, you'll have to feed the paper to the Eraser and wait until it shoots out the cleanse sheet. Well, since there's no technology that is free from glitch, believe me that's true, even if it actually removed the prints from the paper by erasing the toner, text and marks can still be illuminated, but not legible enough.

One more thing to know is that the printer is not capable of creating coloured prints, as of the moment, although they're working on it to enhanced the machine to be able to produce printouts in full color. The e-STUDIO 306LP/RD30 MFP printer can only print in blue, hence it's not a monochrome either. According to news, Toshiba is expected to released the system before this year ends.
