The Hewlett-Packard Company released a series of brand-new and improved security products and services. The said service is called HP Imaging & Printing Security Assessment. This service will assess to identify the current security profile of an organization's printer. If in case there were issues founded, HP will work on it to provide a solution.

Michael Callahan, Vice President, Worldwide Product and Solution Marketing, of HP Enterprise Security Products, said " Most people don't think about printers as end points or having any sort of security risk, but they do because of the amount of information that is sent to them and possibly stored on them. ". Recently HPQ also released a study commissioned by the company, that founded about 68% of companies doesn't have any security policy for printer.

IPS ( Intrusion Prevention System ), is the center of modern enterprise security. With the new NX platform, TippingPoint IPS, HP's previous security is now advancing it's portfolio. Michael Callahan also mentioned, " The operating system is the TippingPoint Operating system, and the box is a custom built box with custom silicon to make sure we get the best performance. ". The NX Platform has been said to deliver a maximum of 13GB per second of IPS inspection throughput.
