Recently Brother International had brought a new collection of monochrome laser printers, and TheTonerExpert had posted an article or rather a brief review for one of those collection of mono laser printer, the Brother MFC-8950DW Monochrome Laser Printer. Today, we'll be introduce to yet another monochrome laser printer, an addition to their newest collection of mono laser printer, manufactured by Brother Int., one of the leading tech giant in the printing industry. The company's new range of of monochrome laser printer are specifically built to target both corporate and small-medium enterprises.

The Brother MFC-8520DN Monochrome Laser Printer, is engineered and built mainly for businesses from small-medium size enterprise markets, with a low running cost. This new model of printer is actually just one from their newly added ranges of mono laser printers from their previous collection. Brother MFC-8520DN is built solidly with a weight of 16kg, and has an area of 405 x 415 x 423 mm. As usual, the printer is matt finished with a fashionably black surface, and offers not just two, but three paper trays - that's a 250 sheet standard tray, 50-sheet drop down multi-purpose tray in front, plus a 35-sheet on top which is an Auto Document Feed tray. If you can't get enough, you can max it out by purchasing an additional 500-sheet tray expansion that you put underneath.
Brother MFC-8520DN's control panel is similar and quite user-friendly for those who have used or has been familiar to Brother MFC control panel lay out. This model of Brother mono laser printer is surprisingly using an old style control panels instead of a touch screen, with a 5-line, 22 character LCD for controlling the printer. Since it's mainly built for businesses, say goodbye to Wi-Fi, cause this one has a limited feature when it comes to connectivity, users only have the USB and Ethernet options.
When we talk about performance, the Brother MFC-8520DN has a better printing speed and performance. It has a claimed maximum of 36ppm for standard printing of files and documents, and has a figure of 18ppm with duplex copies. Printout qualities are vibrant for high resolution files and images, and has a solid black quality when printing plain text documents. The package comes with a 2000 page toner just like Brother TN210 Toners, but you can still buy laser toner cartridges for this model of printer, which has a 3000 and 8000 page toner available. This monochrome laser printer is definitely a must for small-medium size businesses.
