Have you heard of a printer that produces printouts wherein you can erase the ink from the paper sheet once you're not happy or there could be something wrong with the output? I've read this from PrintGreen blog, the Eco Printer that uses a special kind of ink that disappears the moment it's exposed to ultraviolet radiation. This technology saves you from paper wasting though you're not saving on inks of course since you can't put it back to the cartridge though.
Toshiba Tec Corporation has developed a new printer having the same concept, wherein you can erase the ink from the printed material once you're not satisfied or there's any error. That only leaves you with the option to cut down your paper usage, and again not on your ink consumption. The company called it as "Loops", an environmental friendly printer that produces printouts wherein the ink from your printed material can be erase or rather turns transparent once you apply heat.
According to Toshiba, Loops can use the same sheet of paper over and over again for a maximum of five times or so. This printer uses a special type of ink that's mainly different from the other common printers. The difference with Loops is that its ink melts quickly from a lower heat temperature then hits the paper, and once heat is applied the second time the ink turns invisible. If it sounds too fascinating, then it would be better if they also apply this science into laser type printers wherein the toner particles from laser toner cartridges can also be erased through applying heat.
Pilot Corporation, an office supply maker is the developer behind this magnificent ink technology. At the moment, the ink that Loops uses only comes in blue color, while the other colors are to be introduced soon. Though it's taken into account the power you consume from using an equipment to erase the ink, it's also noted that the reduction percentage of your paper usage greatly improves by up to 60 percent. Plus you reduce your carbon footprint emission by eliminating the need of a printer in order to reprint a file, and the power it cost to produce more paper materials.
Loops printer functions as a multifunction printer that can print, scan, copy, fax and of course comes with an erasable ink. As an addition, with the printer's built-in scanner users can save a digital copy of their files to keep just in case they accidentally erase the printout.
