Have you tried using retractable office materials or even seen some of it? Optical mouse nowadays, unless wireless, they're either with a retractable cable or not. There's also this retractable keyboard that can be connected to any tablet or iPad devices through Bluetooth connection wherein the keys can be elevated or retracted with just a push of a button. From ID holders, to computer mouse, down to keyboards, what could else could be more surprising, though I haven't heard any news about a retractable PC, maybe a cable for PC is available, but then I supposed there could be a laptop. If the capability to become retractable is currently not applied to computers for now, then you'll be amazed how this equipment shows the magic.
What else could I be talking about? Of course a printer, a very essential equipment that every offices and businesses must have. Creating important files and documents, rush printouts and copies, and all other printing task that can be more broader if you're using a multifunction printer. Printers have a certain space in every houses and working environments, providing hard copies of files and documents of various sizes. For a personal printer which works best for a home office, A4 size printing is enough as its maximum allowable size to print, while for a large scale business or office, a high-capacity and larger maximum allowable paper size is more suitable. But what if you can have a printer that can print both in a minimum and maximum size of files? What could be the secret to it? These two words retractable and printer, combining them creates a retractable printer. Though it's more of the word, of course there's technology behind, it isn't just putting two words together then producing an equipment in a snap, that's more than magic can do, but with technology anything is possible.
Behold the technology of the "Retractable Printer" from Lexmark, designed by Neilson Navarrete. A printer that can be retracted to its smallest size whenever you need it, or retract it again to its largest or rather longest size to create even A2 size printouts. In a seemingly limited work space, this printer solves your problem, but what it certainly fix is the trouble of having several printers just to print different sizes of files and documents. As of the moment, I'm not sure if it's using inkjet cartridges or laser toner cartridges as there are no further information released about this piece of hardware, but more probably it'll be using coloured ink cartridges.
