A laser MFP from a known brand that manufactures excellent multifunction printers, the Brother MFC-9330CDW, though lacks a duplexing ADF, it can certainly provide enough features to compensate for it. Basically, it only allows users to scan, copy, and fax in simplex (one-sided) functionality. One of its key-features is the use of LED lights in place of lasers, hence it's essentially an LED laser MFC printer.
It has a simple built, or let's say a bit conservative look, with its front panel featuring a 3.7-inch color touchscreen LCD supplemented with touch-sensitive keypad. Impressively, the 9330CDW's backlit keypad only lights up when any particular function requiring the use of it is in active state. There are additional buttons from the machine's front panel like On/Off and Start/Stop button.
The 9330CDW somehow supports an automatic duplexer, however it's limited for double-sided printing purposes alone. In terms of print speed, it has a comparable rate that is more likely matched with MFC-9340CDW printer which is also included in Brother's MFC-series this year. It offers a fix print speed quoted at 23 ppm (pages-per-minute) in both mono and color printing mode. Well, the speed is quite impressive but the printer's paper handling capacity is considered one of its constraints. It is limited to a single main tray that can hold 250 sheets with no optional trays to offer.
Interfaces include, USB host and port, Ethernet, and WiFi. With all these options, users may either connect the printer wired or wirelessly to any PC and supported devices. Additionally, through the use of WiFi Direct app, compatible devices can still be paired with the printer even without the presence of a wireless network. Other supported apps include - Brother's very own iPrint&Scan, Apple AirPrint, Google CloudPrint, and lastly the Cortado WorkPlace.
Since the 9330CDW is a one-pass color laser printer, the paper is moved over four drums, one for each of its color laser toner cartridges. Text and color print quality might be slightly sub-par for an LED laser printer among its class. Generally, it offers a fine and average printout quality that may suffice the needs of a small-size office or micro-office.
The Brother MFC-9330CDW is essentially suited for small-level printing particularly in small-size working environments. This printer is very much capable of providing quality prints mostly in text or non-graphical documents, yet it doesn't slack in delivering photo quality printouts.
