Mobile Printing Applications for Android and iOS Devices

People nowadays relies heavily on mobile printing, which isn't surprising since most of us got a handy tablet or smartphone to use for on the go printing. Speaking of which, the advantage of printing from virtually anywhere was such a great option for almost everyone who uses a printer. Mobile printing applications and software are now on the hype, hence we shouldn't be outdated to what's trending in the print industry.

Let's try to name a few mobile print apps for those who are not familiar with them. So if by any chance you want to try it out, you know what app to use.

HP ePrint, Samsung Mobile Print, Epson Connect, and many more, these are just some of the common apps we can make use of for mobile printing purposes. Some of those typically work with Android-powered devices, while others are conditional to work for iOS devices. Well if you want an app specifically for iOS powered phones, tablets and the likes, you can try Collobos FingerPrint. It supports Apple AirPrint technology for cloud printing services through DropBox and Evernote. In addition, both DropBox and Evernote provides cloud storage services over the internet.

For those who want a universal app which can be used for iOS, Android, and even Blackberry devices, there's this one recommended app. PrinterOn, a business-oriented mobile print app that makes a printer accessible to any mobile device.

There's also the PrintShare app, print digital content directly from your WiFi enabled device to a nearby printer. Additionally, this app supports Google Cloud Print, as well as printing not only via WiFi, but also through Bluetooth and USB storage devices even without a PC.

Here's also a round up specifically for Apple iOS devices:
Print MagicHD, particularly suitable for Apple tablets or what we called iPads.
Printing Pro, a software focused on printing from iOS-powered tablets and smartphones directly to the printer via WiFi.
ToPrint, comes in free and full versions, the latter as usual allows better printing options, aside from the basics like printing messages, contacts, files and information from iOS phones and iPad.

Whilst there are more apps over the net that were not mentioned from this post, I'll try to gather more info about those and make a follow up post. Along with the aforementioned free and paid apps, tech giants in the print industry provide their own specific application and software available particularly for each brand. But always make it a habit to check your printer's consumables such as laser toner cartridges or ink cartridges, cause you might not enjoy mobile printing if your printer runs out of it.

collobos fingerprint
With the use of some widely known wireless printer applications like Apple AirPrint, the ease of using an iPhone or iPad to use for printing has become a common thing for most printer users. But it is a fact that not all model of printers even the latest ones does support the said application, thus to be able to experience it you need to purchase a new printer that will work with AirPrint app. That story has gone past, with Collobos FingerPrint 2.2 for Windows and Mac you can now use your iDevices such as iPhone and iPad to send prints from just about any printer.

Collobos FingerPrint 2.2 not just supports any printer but also virtual printers, which means you can now experience printing to cloud-based services like Dropbox and Evernote. With the power of Collobos you can add Dropbox to your list of printers and FingerPrint would route your email, photo or any document to the Dropbox folder on your PC, which would in turn, sync it to your Dropbox account. A much easy way of archiving and printing, thanks to Collobos FingerPrint.

Installing Collobos Fingerprint doesn't require any special application, you'll just be needing a small desktop client to make it work. Once you properly installed Fingerprint, the software will detect all the registered printer on your PC as well as those connected through the network, making them all available to any iOS device you have. For security features, Collobos supports a security level suitable for enterprise printing environments or offices with more than 20 printers, as well as those who need to print without logging into a PC.

The process of printing from your iDevice works like this, for example you want to print an email, just pull it up in the Mail application, hit the Print option you see on the screen then choose the printer you want to use from the list of available printers and indicate the number of copies you need to print.

Though Collobos Fingerprint may not guarantee to work compatibly with all printers especially with the old models, you'll certainly get it working with the latest printer models that are out in the market. If it doesn't work with your printer, then maybe now's the time to get a new one, and with Collobos Fingerprint, you don't have to worry much if the printer you want doesn't have the function to print from your iDevices. This software sells for only $19.95, about the price of a replacement laser toner cartridges for your printer.
