A Little History Of Laser Printer

Xerography or Electro photography, a widely known process that was invented by Chester Carlson and  started way back in 1938, Xerography uses a dry printing method that nowadays is used in laser printer technology. It was also the in same year when this process was recognized and patented. In the year 1848, the application of electro photography becomes available and was commercialized. This then lead to the invention of laser printer and toner cartridges that we normally use today.

As years passed, innovations and improvements on the usual printing method were made. During the years of 1959, a machine was invented, the Xerox series which also used dry printing method. It was the first automatic reproduction machine. Printing businesses were established in the year of 1978, there were also private citizens who owns  personal computer that started the demand for printing needs, thus technology advancement makes its way. It was also during this year when toner cartridges became widely available in the market but since it's too rare at that time,  the price is too expensive for common individuals who owns a laser printer and was only affordable to the rich.

In 1984, when Hewlett Packard started to established their name in the printing industry, they commence their move by producing Laserjet printers and launched it to the market. This then opened the doors for replaceable toner cartridges. Laserjet printer came with replaceable cartridges thus replacements also became available in the market. Various problems aroused during that time, people find it hard to replace their toner cartridges, the process of replacing was totally sloppy. But the problem that concerns all consumers is the inconvenience of having stacks of used and empty laser toner cartridges. The dilemma of getting their storage rooms full of empty toners and finding more space to use as storage.

This is were extreme measures were juggled by a few environmentalist that are aware of whats happening. They started thinking of how can they implement the eco-friendly approach use to some recycled products on the production of toner cartridges. The situation was definitely resolved by designing remanufactured toner cartridges, and as a result brought the advantage of producing low-cost laser printers and cutting down the expense of buying cartridges.

At present, laser printers are now commonly available in the market with such affordable prices. Laser toner cartridges now comes with original and non-original, their difference can be visibly notice when comparing their price and quality. Consumers now have the convenience to choose from laser printer alone or a multifunction laser printer which comes with a small gap in price range.
