Don't Get Lured By The Figures When Buying Printers

Printer equipment nowadays are too eye catching and enticing in terms of their market price. Most buyers would be glad to have a great savings and so they get easily lured by the figures. They end up purchasing a new printer equipment without having any concern of what will happen after the purchased. It may be less expensive, but it's just the beginning of all the expense that comes when owning a printer.

Before you do that purchase, think of all the factors that shouldn't be taken for granted when buying a new printer equipment. One good thing to be concern of first, is the printer's consumables. Let's say you only purchased your printer for about a hundred dollars, but once you started to buy replacement cartridges the expense piles up so quickly, exceeding the amount you have spent from purchasing your printer. You also need to remind yourself of the printers maintenance, cause definitely that is also part of your printers expense.

Still there's this undying questions from so many consumers asking about which type of printer is the most cost-effective. Based from the response of other users, Inkjet type of printer is least expensive compared to the other type. There are inkjet type of printers that can be availed for less than a hundred dollars, though I may not be sure to say that there are also laser type printer that can be purchased for the same value.

The catch of buying less expensive inkjet type printer goes like this, you pay for a small price to get the printer, then it'll leach your money from purchasing replacement ink cartridges and special papers that can only be used for inkjet type of printers and for special purposes. Ink cartridges usual cost starts from $10 above up to more than $30. However printers with high capacity ink cartridges are more expensive and has a higher page-yield. As a way to save, some users tend to purchase alternative printer cartridges like remanufactured toner cartridges and ink cartridges for their printer which are cheaper to buy.

On the other hand, the laser type of printer cost a little bit higher compared to inkjet printer. Prices varies, as well as the page-yield and capabilities of the printer, it applies to both type of printers. Laser toner cartridges costs seem higher as compared to the other type, however it can produce higher page-yield than the other type. This type of cartridge can typically produce about 3,000 to 10,000 standard pages of print, which means the cost-per-page is much cheaper. Also, laser printer comes with a separate laser toner cartridges dedicated for each color, unlike with ink cartridges that uses a single cartridge for the color ink. So you don't have to replace all the cartridges whenever a single color only runs out of toner, that saves you a lot.
