HP To Showcase HP Designjet and Scitex Industrial Printers

For today's latest news in the print industry, one of the tech-giants in printer manufacturing businesses, the Hewlett-Packard Company (HPQ), has announced just recently that the company will showcase their latest and wider range of printer equipments under HP Scitex and Designjet series. HP will unfold the said printers through the Sign and Digital UK 2013 event, which will take place in Birmingham, starting from the last day of the month April 30 till May 2, 2013.

Included in the product lineup were two from Scitex series and one from the Designjet series - the HP Designjet L26500 printer, the 3.2m HP Scitex LX850 Industrial printer and the HP Scitex FB500 printer. 

As a sneak peak, here's a brief description for each printer model. First is the HP Designjet L26500, it uses water-based HP Latex Inks that can produce odorless prints and is ideal for POP displays, vehicle graphics and soft signage.

Then there's also the HP Scitex LX850 Industrial printer that provides enhanced flexibility and productivity, equipped with an ink collector that allows printing on both porous substrates and textiles.

While the third model, the HP Scitex FB500 printer is suitable for indoor and outdoor printing applications with its versatile functionality to print on flexible substrates. HP rated the printer at a speed up to 37sqm per hour, complemented with an optional white ink.

All printer equipments were built and dedicated for industrial printing purposes, especially the two units from Scitex series which are developed mainly for substrates and textiles. Unlike with conventional HP printers like laserjets and inkjets, these printers uses special latex inks, and is distinctly different to typical HP inkjet cartridges used in most color ink type printers.

For those who are looking forward for the said event, HP will also be running a lot of fun and exciting promotions during the showcase, marketing vouchers and cash-back will be given away to those who will purchase one of the printers included on the showcase. HP's Largest Upgrade In Almost a Decade

Hewlett-Packard Co. recently announced their new line of printers for businesses, considered as the company's largest upgrade into their line of commercial line of printer for almost a decade. Their new line of printers include OfficeJet Pro, LaserJet and Multifunction Printers, that will provide new content management solutions and workflow. Inkjet models included in their crop features a cutting edge print head that's designed to accomplish print task at a very high printing speed that no other printer model had achieved. 

The company's new set of HP OfficeJet Pro inkjet desktop printers and MFP-Multifunction Printers can deliver task twice the speed for half the printing cost as compared with HP color laser printers in their class. According to Hewlett-Packard, HP PageWide Technology is featured in their new line of printers, with a new print head unit that extends the width of a page. 

This new class offers the ability to print documents at general office quality at a rated speed of up to 70ppm, for small-medium size businesses, branch offices as well as remote offices. As mentioned earlier, the LaserJet Printers and Multifunction Printers included in the series prioritize workflow solutions and document/content management solutions for offices and businesses.

HP LaserJet Enterprise flow MFP M525c and HP LaserJet Enterprise color flow MFP M575c offer advanced document processing and sharing features, with facilitated scanning and data entry that speed the transition from a paper to digital office. The HP flow MFPs can be integrated with content management solutions based on software from Autonomy, an HP company, either on-site or via the cloud. By pairing HP printing technology with Autonomy solutions, customers can access, organize and leverage information in documents, audio, video, email, and Web pages.

The HP Flow CM Professional brings enterprise-class content management to growing businesses, with security features suitable for banks, legal firms and stock exchanges. The cloud-based offering increases collaboration and productivity by easily capturing, indexing, storing, searching and retrieving documents through a unique user-friendly interface designed with the customer in mind.

The HP Flow CM Enterprise is composed of a set of enterprise content management (ECM) offerings for large organizations that give instant access to vital information and help to integrate, simplify and automate processes to help reduce operating costs, improve employee productivity and assist with compliance efforts. Together with this all new series of printers also comes a new set of laser toner cartridges and HP inkjet cartridges that will soon be out in the market.

HP Has A Long Way To Go For Improvement

The leading tech giant in printing industry, none other than the Hewlett Packard Co., known for their high quality and expensive printer equipments and printer accessories will need about four years before they could possibly see a difference on the company's status. Meg Whitman said that the aforementioned number of years will be required for her to know if she has fixed the overall problem of HP Co.

Several months ago, when Meg Whitman was appointed as the new CEO of Hewlett Packard to bring back everything that the company had lost. Whitman was expected to tune up the current negative status of the company, after a series of CEOs failed to do the said task, and that's to troubleshoot what is needed to be fixed, and pull HP back to what it was before, as the leading tech giant in the printing industry.

Her brilliant plans for the company includes, improving HP's internal IT system, narrowing the varieties of products it sells, and bring back the organizations stability. According to her, she's proud to affirm that she has managed to bring back some of the organizations stability at least. By the year of 2016, HP will turn the tide and Whitman will take HP to the industry's leading margin.

By now, the Hewlett Packard Co. has laid off about 29,000 workers, due to the company's $8.9 billion loss in the third quarter that ended last July 31. One of the factors that affects the company's bad performance was its own internal  IT system, that's why this factor was included on her plans to improve HP's internal operations. Reducing the number of their products may probably affect their printer supplies including hp laser toner cartridges and hp inkjet cartridges, if and when the company will stop the production of printer equipments, just like the other printer manufacturing companies.

This year, HP Co. signed a contract with the Salesforce to sort things out, regarding their sales management system or CRM system improvement. Next year will be a rough ride for HP, and it's also expected that by next year HP will cut by half the number of their products.
