It's quite typical for the consumers to opt for products from where they can get a lot of savings, perhaps money isn't really just a thing that you earn from nothing. Customers and shoppers chose to purchased items in pack, products on sale, and non-branded consumables, simply to save their hard earned money. However, some of these sub-standard products may not fully provide what you need or at least demand. There are instances from which these products could either be damaged from the day you bought them due to very low quality, or get easily damaged even for the first time you used it.
Still, we shouldn't imply this in general, despite the fact that there are sub-standard consumables out in the market, there are still a few or even more than half of these non-branded products are working up to par with the original ones. One good example to cite as a quality product are these re-manufactured or third-party printer cartridges. Considering that you have a trust worthy retailer these printer consumables are made from empty and used cartridges that were re-manufactured and installed with a new printer chip identical to OEM cartridges.
Again, in order to save people tend to purchase third-party printer cartridges since OEM's are somehow costly. However, since this cartridges are manufactured by third-party manufacturers, it's a common scenario from which the printer doesn't recognize these cartridges. Like for example, if you're using an Epson printer and installed it with a re-manufactured toner or ink cartridge you'll probably get a message indicating that your printer cannot recognize the cartridge. In that case, you might have thought of disposing it unless you know how to handle the said problem.
Well to help with your problem, here's the thing that you can do, simply disable your printer's monitor. How can you suppose to disable it? It's easily said that done, now here's the instructions :
- First take note that this process will only take effect for Epson printers that uses ink cartridges, as I'm not sure if it would also work for Epson laser toner cartridges. Do this at your own risk.
- After installing the re-manufactured cartridges on your printer, from your desktop click on "Start" then go to "Control Panel".
- Double click on the "Printer" tab, then right click your printer's icon and choose "Printer Preferences" located at the bottom of the dialog box.
- Click on "Speed and Progress" tab, then try to locate "Printer Monitor". Now to disable the ink monitor, remove the check mark on the "Disable Epson Status Monitor" box.
- For the last step, click on "Save" then close the dialog box, and your printer should now be working.
