Epson WorkForce WF-3540 All-In-One Inkjet Printer

Epson WorkForce WF-3540 All-In-One Inkjet Printer
Though a bit late for a review, here's the Epson WorkForce WF-3540 all-in-one inkjet printer. Partly, or should we say quite similar to some inkjet printers from the WorkForce family. Leaning towards providing a distinct printing solution for small offices or home-office, from which it serves essentially well. It can be setup as a shared printer in a small office or even at home, considering it's ample paper capacity. The WF-3520 can cope up in most ways with mid-to-high-duty printing needs.

As an all-in-one printer, basic features include: printing, scanning, and faxing on either directly from or to a computer. It also works well as a standalone fax machine or just a copier. Directly printing from a USB flash drive, or scanning to it are some of the printer's convenient features. In addition, it supports cloud printing through Epson Connect or Apple AirPrint, granted that the printer is connected over a network.

One of the WF-3540's strong point is its considerably generous paper handling capacity up to 500 sheets, which consists of two 250-sheet cassette drawer. Hence a user can load two different kinds of paper media, then switch to whichever is necessary to use, or let the printer switch at its own to the second drawer once the main cassette runs out of paper. Moreover, the WorkForce WF-3540 supports duplex (double-sided) printing, plus a 30-sheet ADF (automatic-document-feeder) which also works for scanning purposes.

A demandingly large enough 3.5inch color touchscreen LCD control panel will surely entice your eyes. Epson rated the printer at the same rate with WorkForce WF-3520 which offers a print speed of up to 15 ppm (pages-per-minute) for black, and 9.3 ppm for colour printing. It's actually reasonably fast if you'll look at its price.

When it comes to consumables, the WF-3540 works with DURABrite Ultra pigment-based inks, which Epson claimed that these inks are resistive to smudge, fade, and water. Unlike with some of the printers from the WF-series, this one only uses four individual ink cartridges, with an extra high-yield cartridges available. Printer cartridges from Epson are of high-quality, both with their laser toner cartridges and ink cartridges, and considerably less expensive.

Connectivity interfaces include: built-in WiFi for wireless printing, an Ethernet for wired networking, plus a Hi-Speed USB port for reading flash drives and memory cards.

For printer users out there who would like to switch to a new photo printer, the Epson WorkForce WF-3540 all-in-one inkjet printer is one reasonable choice.
