Warning, the toner level is getting low! A prompt that get's you going crazy, well in most cases. What you should have in mind is the model of your printer, the compatible number of your toner cartridge that works on your printer, and of course, the very most important thing that you should have, what else could it be, obviously than money. Yes, money!

Run to your nearest printer supply store and show the cartridge number that you need, this way you'll get the right laser toner cartridges for your printer. If you just bought a new laser printer and you're new to this occurrence, you better get used to this recurring process and expense.

Now that you have a new toner cartridge and your ready to install it to your printer, replacing the about to be empty cartridge. What goes in your mind is, how am I supposed to do this thing right. Replacing your toner cartridges may not be a trouble for you daily, but you should have the basic knowledge on how to replace your old laser toner cartridges. You may refer to the user guide provided by the manufacturer on how to remove an empty cartridge and install a new one, instructions from there are commonly easy.  Familiarize your self with the general steps on how to remove and install toner cartridges.

Where to start is the first question. Here's what to do, depending on your printer model, look for a notch, an indent, a gap, a slip or a label that indicates on where to pull the cover of your printer then open it wide. Prepare some paper towels, tissues or anything you can use to wipe off dirt's in your hands and printer cause this job is totally messy. 

Next locate your empty cartridge and look for the label that points to a handle assigned to pull out your empty cartridge then set it aside. Now get the new toner cartridge that you bought, remove the packaging and external covers from the cartridge's roller. Original toner cartridges and remanufactured toner cartridges packaging both have additional tapes that you might not notice and may cause problem to your printer not working so you should be observant.

Hold your toner cartridge properly while positioning it to insert into the cartridge slot of your printer. You may also notice arrow indicators on how to properly insert your cartridge. If the new toner cartridge doesn't fit to the slot, try it the other way cause generally all cartridges fits one way. Secure the fit by pressing the cartridge firmly.
Once your secured that you installed it right, clean any toner drops from your printer and also on your hands. Finally closed the cover of your printer, remove any dirt from the cover that could be trap inside. To check if you properly replaced your laser toner cartridge then put it to a test, run a series of print test in your computer and check the printed result.

The next time your laser toner printer runs out of toner you may always refer to this guide as often as you need until you get your self used to the process.
