Compatible Printer Cartridges Over CISS and Refill Kits

Have you heard of the term CISS (continuous ink supply system)? As a printer user, we might not often heard of this term, probably because it's not widely used by many, perhaps we could take a look into this printing method. How is it different from cartridge refilling system, and to compatible cartridges? We'll try to differentiate each as brief as possible, let's start by discussing their purpose and advantages.

In CISS method, cartridge replacement is eliminated, and instead the ink from its reservoir is the one refilled. From the name itself, continuous ink supply system, it simply means that ink continuously flow from a separate reservoir container to supply ink to the cartridge which is inside the printer. It's certainly different from having a refilling kit, as it requires you to remove the cartridges and get it refilled then replace it back to the printer. While with CISS, there's no need to do it, just fill in the reservoir tank with ink once it goes empty or when it reaches a certain low level.

Ink refilling system, as I've said requires a lot of process unlike with CISS, and also it's more expensive especially if you're familiar on using such method, you might end up having defective cartridges due to improper refilling. Plus, I personally don't suggest using this method, as more printer nowadays are embedded with chips that can detect refilled cartridges using a sensor chip. It might be worthless to refill a cartridge for a much lower cost, yet your printer can't even recognize it as a new one.

How about the compatible cartridges or as others called it remanufactured printer cartridges, is there anything worth looking in to these alternatives? These cartridges are not supported by any reservoir tanks, nor does it come with refill kits. They are mainly reprocess using the components of empty or used cartridges, refurbished and refilled with inks/toners, then goes into packaging. Like its OEM counterparts, compatible laser toner cartridges and ink cartridges works of par with the originals and delivers decent quality. I said decent not the same as OEM, simply because they are refilled with distinctive ink or toner. A reasonable printout quality over cost-efficiency is fairly a good trade-off.

Which one is more widely used? Since the market for compatible printer cartridges is gradually improving and growing over the recent years, then that answers the question. Again, it depends on your preferences, whichever you chose to use, it's inevitable to have drawbacks and cons from each method or product

More Functionality Means Higher Value

At present, we have different models of printers in the market that suits all the styles and needs of every consumer. Before, there were private and personal printers that functions for a small specific task. But nowadays, printers in the market are added with multifunctioning features and capabilities, that functions as a printer, copier, scanner and fax all in one. Functionality wise, businesses and companies would definitely prefer to use multifunction printers for better productions.

Along with the advancement comes the increase in price value. A lot of you may have notice the increase in the price range of printers, of course if there's advancements, there's also a charged. You can't just have some improvement to your equipment without paying the price, right. But as you have notice, even before, printers were not that affordable when it was first introduced to the market, as well as the cartridges that are needed for you printer to create printouts. Now that there are hundreds of available printer models and features, the competition among the other brands created a decrease in market value of printers. However the price range of original laser toner cartridges and ink cartridges seems to be steady.

They're quite expensive for some consumers, that they tend to purchase alternatives like those remanufactured HP305A toner cartridges and ink cartridges. There might be no problem from using refurbished cartridges, so long as you bought them from trusted retailers. These are actually made from original cartridges that are refurbished and remanufactured to create recycled printer cartridges that are way cheaper compared to original brand printer cartridges.

The price difference between the original brand cartridges and the remanufactured cartridges is roughly about 50%. This is a highly significant savings, considering that we all want to cut down the cost on our printing expenses. Toners and ink inside the printer cartridges containers if not properly disposed of, can definitely pollute the environment, causing much trouble than what we can expect. Since these cartridges are non degradable, and will took years before it decompose, having this reason think that if you can't be the solution then at least be a part of it.

What to Buy : Laser Printer or Inkjet Printer?

Laser Toner Cartridges
The Toner Expert
Printers as we all know it come in two distinct types and features, one is the so called inkjet printer, and the other one is called laser printer. Both produces quality printouts and you can't just compare and contrast them easily as there are such factors to consider if you want to identify which one can be really capable of producing the best quality of prints.

If you will try to compare their printouts, one can say that inkjet printers are the best from producing vivid images and files of the same type, while in terms of speed, accuracy and proficiency, the laser type of printers wins the poll. You see, there are a lot of factors that needs to be consider before judging which among these two types of printers win to be the best.

When the inkjet type outstands from creating images of such vivid quality, the other type would be greatly appreciated from printing clear text as well as handling loads and loads of prints in just a matter of time. What I'm trying to imply here is that, if the inkjet excels in a specific feature that the other one doesn't have, the same thing goes with the laser type, it has features that inkjet can't possibly have. It all depends on the needs of the customer or rather the consumer who would purchase a printer.

It may also depend on the purpose for what it'll be use. For offices and businesses, they would rather choose to purchase laser printers that is more suitable and useful for their workload, and the price of laser toner cartridges are not that expensive nowadays. Since they need high printing requirements the laser type of printer is best suited for these environment. Whereas the inkjet type of printer is best suited for personal and home use, since they often want to print images and files of the same type, inkjet printers are more capable of doing this task and more appropriate for limited printing needs.

There are more factors and differences between these two types of printers that can be discuss into more broader aspects, such as the cost per print, printer cartridges expense, maintenance, the number of prints over time, and so on. Printer cartridges are mostly to be consider since this could be counted to your printers recurring expense. As long as you can keep up purchasing original brand cartridges just stick with it, but you opt to look for alternatives such as remanufactured toner cartridges and ink cartridges, better find a trust worthy retailer so wouldn't end up wasting you hard earned money.

Hewlett-Packard's Inkjet Cartridges

A globally known brand of printer manufacturing corporation, and an excellent provider of high end equipments like laser printers that uses laser toner cartridges and inkjet printers, copiers, personal computers, laptops, and all other machines as well as software technologies for home users, small-to-medium sized businesses up to large enterprises is the Hewlett-Packard Company.

For the past couple of years, the company has been known to receive and achieve various title and honors in the printing industry considering that there is a tight competency in this large printing industry. One of their best achievement was the title of the best inkjet printer brands in the printing market. Hewlett-Packard was one of the pioneering companies including Canon and Epson that developed inkjet printers that were able to reproduce digital images generated by personal computers and laptops.

The reason behind their success was because of their high quality printer cartridges. Hewlett-Packard inkjet type printer uses HP inkjet cartridges that contains a series of chambers having a heater which are constructed through photolithography (also termed "optical lithography" or "UV lithography"). Before a drop of ink hits the paper, there's a series of process that undergoes inside the cartridge. Electricity is passed through each of the chamber from the heater which causes vaporization of the ink inside and forms a bubble, the large pressure tha's building inside causes the ink to propel a drop onto the paper.

HP uses aqueous inks to their ink cartridges, it's a mixture of glycol, water and pigments or dyes. For that vibrant printouts, the mixture also contains sulfonated polyazo black dye. The HP inkjet cartridge has two main head design, the so called fixed head and disposable head. Though most of their inkjet printer, favored the disposable head as a part of its replaceable ink cartridges. The success that has been brought by this small product, is very visible on the companies sales for over the recent years.

The specific design of their printer cartridges having additional features and high level functionality are developed to achieve the requirements of their target consumers. This simply implies that the company is fully aware and considerate to what the market and their possible consumers would demand.

Brand manufacturers are aware of these substandard laser toner cartridges and ink cartridges that can be found all over the market. That's why some of these printer manufacturing companies started to establish organizations to suppress the spread of these fake products. But you can't easily wipe them off in just a snap, so beware of these products that are too cheap.

There are also printer cartridges that are less expensive but totally different from substandard products. These recycled cartridges are called remanufactured toner cartridges and ink cartridges. Empty and used original printer cartridges are returned to their respective manufacturers or other remanufacturers to undergo recycling process. These cartridges are of the same quality and performance just like original cartridges but are less cheaper.

Make yourself updated of the sales and promos that retailers offer every season. In that way, you can get much savings from bulk purchases plus you'll get enough spare of cartridges whenever you need. It's like hitting two birds with one stone. You can also compare products of some retailers near you, so you'll know which one is selling better printer supplies.

An Option For Your HP Laser Printer

An Option For Your Laser Printer
Laser printers are one of the most important devices in a business environment. With their detailed designs and speed that beat inkjet printers, cause typically inkjet printers don't print pages as fast as laser printers, also when it comes to the accuracy and precision of its print. They are also amazingly affordable. But when talking about toner cartridges, most manufacturers are almost giving away their printers with such low prices, then they make up their profit by selling their replacement cartridges for high prices.
The life of each cartridges is measured in terms of their yield. And it doesn't mean that if you frequently use your printers, it shortens the life span of your cartridge. Why is it possible? It's because laser printers are using laser toner cartridges, and these cartridges are using toner powder instead of ink that dries up when you seldom use your inkjet printers.

Since brand manufacturers are getting their profit from cartridge sales, if your using laser printers much often, you are more likely familiar with the recurring expense that you frequently faced. One of the option to save more is to avail remanufactured toner cartridges that are produced by third party manufacturers. These are less cheaper than original brands, and are made to the specification of the manufacturer, so generally speaking both original cartridges and remanufactured cartridges have the same quality.

Remanufactured cartridges are not just simply filled with inks and toners. High standard manufacturers of used cartridges also clean and refurbished these recycled cartridges to meet and exceed the quality that original brand manufacturers are consistently maintaining for decades. They are also environmentally-friendly  that a lot of different organizations actually pays people for returning their empty cartridges.

Only make sure that your friendly supplier, provides customer service and money back guarantee for their
damage products, so you wont regret spending your hard-earned money to some wasted products.

HP Also Recycles Its Cartridges

It can be easy to recycle anything that can be useful to more ways than one. There are also stuffs that you might thought of recycling but don't know where to start with. Empty bottles, old newspapers, thin cans and plastic containers of all sorts, these things can definitely be reuse by recycling. But do you have an idea what happens to these things once you disposed of them.

HP as one of the leading printer brand manufacturer has a global recycling plant located in Smyrna, Tennessee. This recycling plant allow their customers to return empty laser toner cartridges or ink cartridges instead of just throwing them. An option that the environment, the manufacturer and the consumers benefit from. HP inkjet cartridges consumers can get in-store discounts from returning their empty ink cartridges. While giving discounts and helping out the environment is totally a great deal for the manufacturers.

If you are curious on how they tear down your empty cartridges into small parts and pieces that they use to rebuild new ink cartridges, here's a fascinating overview to the workflow of HP's recycling plant.

There are three simple stages and human interventions are always involved on the process:

First is Receiving in this process, HP gathers all the returned empty cartridges from different places. Large boxes with sealed envelopes are then located around the receiving area.

Next to the process is Sorting, this is where all the received empty cartridges goes. Most of the sorting process are done either by Automatic or by Semi-Manual method. Those cartridges that comes from sealed boxes that needs to be open undergo semi-manual method, while the rest directly goes to the automatic sorting process. Each cartridge is precisely analyzed via laser to separate from the other cartridges and determine the model to organize the empty cartridges for the last stage.

The last stage of the process is Recycling, there are a lot of methods in this process since HP deals with various types of ink cartridges. One of these is shredding, and literally it shreds all the cartridges that meets the requirement. Cartridges constructed from Polyethylene Terephthalate which are more intricate, undergo a more complicated process of disassembling. I will not tackle further the details of disassembling. But there are also cartridges that due to their size and shape, can't go through the process of disassembling and are simply demanufactured.

Once the cartridges gone through these three stages, they will be wash and clean before transporting them. But the process doesn't end there, it still needs to go through a long way of combining them with local plastics from other HP's sources to be able to create a new HP cartridge.
