Epson recently launched a new model of printer in addition to its wide array of product equipments and office supplies. The Epson Expression Photo XP-850 Small-In-One printer, specifically built for photo and image printing. Boasted with features and decent print-speed for a color inkjet multifunction printer, it also offers an automatic duplex (double-sided) printing, copying and scanning.
The new Epson Expression Photo XP-850 has a highlighted feature of printing directly on inkjet-printable CD/DVDs which makes it more functional to use. With the printer's compact design, get all the printer functions and printout quality while keeping a nice and uncluttered space on your working desk. It supports Epson Connect that lets you print and scan from almost anywhere, a convenient way of printing from mobile smartphones, tablets and iOS devices through Apple AirPrint and Google Cloud Print.
It features a 3.5 inch touchscreen LCD display with gesture navigation and an easy setup process. The printer is also capable of mobile printing via e-mail and WiFi through Epson software compatible for the said model. Epson Expression Photo XP-850 is built with an ADF that can hold up to 30 sheets of paper, while the main paper handling capacity composed of a 100 sheet paper cassette plus a 20 sheet photo cassette (single-sheet vertical feed for straight-path photo printing). At the bottom of the printer, a removable adapter can be use to feed inkjet-printable CD/DVDs.
Create stunning photo printouts with Epson's Claria Photo HD 6-color inks for that superior photo quality, the printer comes with 6 individual Epson ink cartridges that can be replaced separately depending on what color you need. For additional connectivity options, it offers a built-in card slots, Ethernet plus WiFi Direct. The Epson Expression Photo XP-850 has a quoted print speed of 9.5 ppm (Black ISO printing) and 9.0 ppm (Color ISO printing), which reduces into half when using the printer's dual-sided printing functionality.
Aside from the aforementioned features, this printer also supports a green act by allowing recycled paper printing and accepting recyclable printer consumables. If you don't opt for recycled printer consumables, Epson laser toner cartridges and ink cartridges are considerably cheaper in price compared to other branded manufacturers, which can also give you savings in the long run. The Photo XP-850 has a steep price of $300 and comes with an available high-capacity black (500 pages) and color (740 pages) Epson cartridges which can be purchased optionally.
