Today's post will give you a brief introduction to Dell's most recent laser printers which were released first week of this month, June 04,2013 to be exact. Both printers are now available in the market, sporting decent specs and set of functionality suitable for SOHO market. The two models offer monochrome laser printing technology which requires a single black laser toner cartridge equipped with a fuser that works for a lifetime. One of their notable feature is the support for Dell's Printer Easy WiFi Installer.
Dell B1165nfw Mono MFP
As a multifunction printer the B1165nfw supports basic functionality such as printing, scanning, copying and fax. It's a good thing they included fax capability with this one, considering that most mono laser printers in its range lacks the said feature. Its built is simply elegant, the chassis has nice curves and edges in matte finish black coating. There's also this adjustable calculator-like control panel installed from its far right edge.
The B1165nfw comes with a rated print speed of 21ppm (pages-per-minute) which is definitely one of its key features. Since this one targets small-size offices, a 150-sheet main tray might be sufficient enough, plus an ADF (automatic-document-feeder) with a capacity that can handle 40 sheets. Additionally, this printer supports mobile printing through Apple AirPrint for iOS devices, Dell Mobile Print and Google Cloud Print for non-iOS and general devices.
Dell B1265dfw Mono MFP
Consider it the upgraded version of Dell B1265dnf which was released last year of the same month. Its predecessor, the B1265dnf an All-In-One machine delivered quite a good sale, however it lacks wireless printing capability. Now, Dell makes it sure that by including the WiFi support to B1265dfw, it will soon deliver much better customer satisfaction, thus generating more sales.
These two models are not competing, however if you're that much concern of what a printer can produce over a period of time, the B1265dfw seems to get a higher rank. Dell quoted the printer at 29ppm (pages-per-minute), a bit faster compared to the one above. While both printers share the same limit with their ADF, they somehow differ in standard input capacity. Its input tray can handle as much as 250 sheets of plain paper with no further info about the availability of optional trays. Additionally, this printer also supports mobile printing, supporting similar apps and features mentioned above.
For more details, I'll provide you with a follow post with full reviews of each printer. While for pricing, you can directly visit Dell's website for their retail prices.
