Canon’s Select Color Laser Printers with Superior Color Imaging Technology

Canon’s Select Color Laser Printers with Superior Color Imaging Technology
The term superior had been associated to so many things and that includes Canon’s Color Imaging technology. Could we say it is indeed the most outstanding in the imaging industry? Well how can we say so, we haven’t tried enough of units to determine and prove that matter. However, we can at least feature some of the color laser printers that Canon claimed to have the said innovation.

If you want to find out how many Canon printers have this technology, you can use the search box at the top right part of their site and use the keyword “Color Imaging Technology”. It isn’t the normal way, actually we’re not even aware of how it should be done, but that’s how we do it. You’ll find 1 to 15 pages of 806 results, but not all of those are guaranteed to have the said feature, probably 2-3% at the least.

To narrow it down, we chose a few printers which you can even count with your two hands or probably just one, that feature the SCI technology. We’ll be using that abbreviated term only for this post, so don’t misinterpret it or accuse us of anything. Again, to simply put it, we just want to shorten the term mainly for this post.

Now these are the chosen printer models from Canon’s wide range of all-in-one and non-AIO machines that feature the SCI technology.

From the imageCLASS/i-SENSYS:

MF8080CW, MF8030CN, MF8050CN – These three come from the same line and mainly use Canon 116 laser toner cartridges.

MF8350CDN and MF8380CDW – These two are like brothers and both use Canon 118 laser toner cartridges.

MF9220CDN and MF9280CDN – Printers from this line particularly those with model number that starts with MF92 are using CRG 111 color toner cartridges.

Why do we include their supported supplies? That is simply to point out that those are laser type printers. The PIXMA series actually uses inks instead of toners, and the counterpart of Canon’s Superior Color Imaging in inkjets is referred to as FINE Cartridge System. We’ll probably talk about it as well soon so just wait for our future updates.

As described by Canon, Superior Color Imaging Technology promises stunning print results that look like the original. Vibrant and tone-on-tone clarity both sound perfect for a laser printer that is capable of producing printouts having the exact shade, hue and density of colors. If this traits are what you are looking for, those models we provided above are your best bet.

Know More About Canon MG7120 Photo All-In-One Printer

Canon MG7120 Photo All-In-One Printer
In the last quarter of 2013, Canon introduced to the market the PIXMA MG7120 Photo AIO printer. It primarily targets home office users through its solid set of features and functionality that are essentially built for basic to intermediate use.

Basic Features

Basically the MG7120 can print, copy and scan which is totally impressive as it managed to squeeze in these functionality in a real compact size. Its engine is somehow slow especially if you’re printing more of color documents. For black it can shoot out prints at a speed of 15 images per minute while for color it’s a bit ponderous at 10 images per minute. The control panel is very much sophisticated which complements well the design and built of the machine. A perfectly set touch screen LCD about 3.5-inch in size allows image previewing and of course printer navigation. Notices, errors and prompts are displayed clearly especially the ink monitoring system to check the status of equipped Canon CLI-251XL inks. Take note that it requires 6 ink tanks such as the basic CYMK, plus a gray and one enhancer.

Paper Capacity

Paper handling is considerable for its small size. It houses a standard input cassette that can only hold a maximum of 125-sheets. An auxiliary tray comes handy for photo media and specialty papers. It is either you load it with 10 sheets of 5x7 or 20 sheets of 4x6 photo papers. Fortunately, the MG7120 supports automatic duplexing or double-sided printing.

Copying and Scanning

Well, as mentioned users can also scan or copy via the PIXMA MG7120 however both only offer basic support. Copier features document reduction and enlargement, multiple and borderless copying, as well as fit-to-page. The scanner on the other hand uses a flatbed and contact image sensor and allows directly scanning to email and memory cards.

Interfaces

The MG7120 photo printer comes standard with a generous set of connectivity options. Basics are available such as Hi-Speed USB and Ethernet ports, plus memory card slots and PictBridge. Cloud and Air printing are both supported through its wireless LAN. Additionally, a variety of software and utility tools can be downloaded to optimize usage. The Canon PIXMA MG7120 Photo AIO inkjet printer is a good choice for mobile printing, defining it as a suitable device for home use.

Two New Monochrome Laser Printers From Dell Targetting SOHO Businesses

Today's post will give you a brief introduction to Dell's most recent laser printers which were released first week of this month, June 04,2013 to be exact. Both printers are now available in the market, sporting decent specs and set of functionality suitable for SOHO market. The two models offer monochrome laser printing technology which requires a single black laser toner cartridge equipped with a fuser that works for a lifetime. One of their notable feature is the support for Dell's Printer Easy WiFi Installer.

Dell B1165nfw Mono MFP

As a multifunction printer the B1165nfw supports basic functionality such as printing, scanning, copying and fax. It's a good thing they included fax capability with this one, considering that most mono laser printers in its range lacks the said feature. Its built is simply elegant, the chassis has nice curves and edges in matte finish black coating. There's also this adjustable calculator-like control panel installed from its far right edge.

Whilst it offers a good set of features which makes it a well-round printer for small to mid-level printing.

Epson WorkForce WF-3520DWF All-In-One Inkjet Printer

Epson WorkForce WF-3520DWF All-In-One Inkjet Printer
Epson's latest colour inkjet printer, the WorkForce WF-3520DWF AIO, that offers highlighted features comparable to a laser printer. Built primarily for small office, workgroups and all other humble-size working environments. It's compact yet full of nice features, and is less heavy compared to some all-in-one machines in its range, which give it a nice fit on a shared desk space.

Basically, what you can do with the WF-3520DWF is to print, copy, scan and fax, plus it supports wireless and mobile printing. It's actually one of the featured printer from our last month's post which talks about First-Rate Apple AirPrint Supported Printers to Buy, go see it for your reference.Going back to our post, this printer has a built-in WiFi interface which can be used to allow multiple users to access the printer over a network at once. Hence, it's compatible to work with iOS devices through installing Apple AirPrint app, or Android-powered device, use the Google Cloud Print app for your convenience.

One main reason why it suits the role of an office printer is that it supports double-sided or duplex printing capability, which allows printing on both sides of a page. It's front panel, though not as impressive as it seems, has a nifty look. Consisting of a 6.3cm screen with no touch feature, yet the backlit touch buttons on both sides will help you navigate the device. There's also the alphanumeric keypad on its right side, with a few touch buttons including Stop/Reset, B&W, and Color for copying purposes. The switch and WiFi indicator is located on the front panel's far left edge.

Paper capacity is not so generous but rather enough for a small office, with a 250-sheet main paper tray -- no option to expand it. The WF-3520DWF only requires four inkjet cartridges surprisingly, unlike Canon color inkjet printers that need 5-6 ink tanks, while HP inkjets, similarly require just the standard CMYK hp inkjet cartridges to run. In addition, the 3520DWF uses a large ink tank mainly for black, the rest are all in standard size such as cyan, magenta and yellow inks.

Epson rated the printer at 18ppm (pages-per-minute) in mono, and 11ppm in colour mode. Actually it's not bad at all, considering the range of print speed that most printers from WorkForce-series can offer. If you're more concern of what it's capable of in terms of quality, Epson touted that every drop of ink that comes out from this printer is water resistant, which prevents the image from smudging and discoloration.

Laser Printer VS Inkjet Printer : Common Issues

First thing you need to determine is to what purpose you'll be using a printer, unless you want to end up having a machine that can do exactly the opposite of what you expect. Laser printers essentially rule basic printing such as text and plain graphics, and typically feature exceptional print speed. On the other hand, inkjet types are rarely use for text-alone printing, simply because it's way too luxurious over using a laser for this task. Inkjet printers are the superior when it comes to photo and high resolution prints, but with a tad slower printing process. Although both type may offer a color version, still inkjets will prevail in terms of producing quality images and full-color graphics. Laser printers are basically good in black&white or mono prints, hence a monochrome laser can spit out crisp and clear text with every printout in a second.

Multifunction printers are good for office and business printing needs. To print alone may be enough for a home office, but ideally, it's better to have a single equipment capable of printing, scanning, copying and sending fax. Between the two types of print devices, laser printers are often preferred by most business establishments and office environments. Primarily because of the speed, cause they need higher productivity in less time. While there are inkjets that can matched up with the speed of lasers, the catch is that the quality is somehow sacrifice. For a personal home printer, an inkjet works best especially if you still have kids that require printing school projects and research.

Printers with supplementary interfaces aside from a USB conneciton is kind of ideal. If it's for personal use, a USB host will do, except for those who intend to purchase one that supports both wired and wireless connection. Professional individuals or home office workers are suited for printers that allow cloud or mobile printing -- print from virtually anywhere. However, workgroups and large working environments will require WiFi connection to support a huge number of users. Additional interfaces like PictBride and memory card slots are optional, depending on your preferences.

Paper capacity is a factor that shouldn't be neglected. Inkjet printers before were limited in capacity, thus they became more suitable for home printing, then eventually they improved by offering larger paper trays and cassettes to fit for heavy-duty printing. A monthly duty-cycle of 8000 pages below will be sufficient enough for home printing, whereas a large office will probably need more than 200,000 pages a month. An automatic-document-feeder that works both in printing and copying makes a plus.

Printer supplies are merely expensive especially ink cartridges, they're comparably high-price than laser toner cartridges. Well you may consider inquiring a printer that supports Econo-mode or Draft-mode printing, that reduces the amount of ink/toner consumption when printing. Purchasing replacements is a recurring expense, so better be ready once you've decided the right model for your needs.

Latest Brother Digital Color AIO MFC-9000 Series

Brother USA has finally revealed the company's newest addition to their continuously widening range of electronic products particularly in the Print Industry. With Brother's latest line of multifunction centre, the MFC-9000 series, they're practically rivaling with the local copy center business. Simplicity, mobility, compact and sporting a sophisticated look with rich features, these are the basic qualities that the MFC-9000 series has to offer.

Printer models included in the new series has a print speed ranging from 19-23 pages-per-minute in color mode, while offering a standard resolution of 600 x 2400 dots-per-inch. Users can print, copy, scan and fax, whichever model you choose. Although it has a seemingly low paper input capacity that can only hold 250 sheets of plain paper.

Each of these desktop printers from the MFC-9000 series is equipped with a 3.7'' touchscreen color LCD where it allows users to directly access social media accounts such as Facebook, Picasa, Evernote, GoogleBox, DropBox, Flickr and many more. File-sharing has never been this much easy, whilst it isn't a new innovation, still Brother seems to be doing great when it comes to additional features. Print directly from social media and cloud storage accounts to the printer, without the hassle to move the files into a flash drive, memory card or PC first.

Talking about features, this series also supports mobile printing as well as wireless printing with their built-in WiFi interface. Printing directly via an iOS or Android powered devices is one of the key-features that the MFC-9000 series offer.

These desktop printers perfectly work with high-capacity or high-yield brother toner cartridges, which in fact reduces the cost-per-page with every print. Cartridges with standard capacity provides a well-off printing cost, but high-capacity cartridges can generate outputs twice the rate of standard toners at a much lower cpp.

The MFC-9000 series leans towards serving small-sized businesses and offices where printing is mainly use for marketing materials such as coloured catalogs and booklets. In addition, these printers are efficient in terms of power consumption as they only use approximately about 2 watts in standby mode, and turns itself OFF when not in use. If speed and capacity aren't much of your concern, while operating costs and energy-saving features matter more importantly, then Brother's MFC-9000 series may be a good choice for your business.

Canon Color imageClass MF8280CW MFP Laser Printer

Canon Color imageClass MF8280CW MFP Laser Printer
Here's a follow up post for Canon Color imageClass MF8280CW, you may find the previous post here Canon's New MFP Printers - imageCLASS MF8280CW and imageCLASS MF8580CDW  which provides quite a brief information regarding the said model. While this post will focus mainly for the MF8280CW printer.

The Canon imageClass MF8280CW function as a printer, scanner and a stand alone copier or fax machine. Built perfectly for light-duty printing preferably for small office, workgroup or even as a home printer. It practically offers a set of features basically similar to one of its predecessor the MFP MF8080CW, albeit the MF8280CW sports faster print speed and above average printout quality. So essentially, it's much of an improved version of the MF8080CW, with a surprisingly lower price.

It supports an automatic document feeder, however there's no duplexing feature nor an option to have it. Paper handling capacity includes a 150-sheet main input tray which might serve enough for a micro office. The printer's minimal input capacity may tend to require paper sheet refilling if your office requires printing more than hundred pages per day. Its flatbed scanner comes with a 50-page ADF (automatic-document-feeder), which supports legal-size pages.

Considering its low paper handling capacity, and combining all its features, it's kind of unexpected that it weighs about 57.3 pounds. That's a bit heavy if you'll compare some competing models in its range that can offer the same features and functionality.

Interfaces for connectivity and printing options include a high-speed USB, an Ethernet and WiFi for either wired or wireless connection. The Canon imageClass MF8280CW has a quoted print speed of 14ppm (pages per minute) for both mono and color mode. It only requires four laser toner cartridges such as the general CYMK tanks.

Printout quality falls into average bracket, given that the MF8280CW used Canon's Pure Black and Auto Gradation Adjustment technology. Hence, a small office with light printing demand may get along well with the Canon Color imageClass MF8280CW MFP printer.

Your Easy Guide For Buying A New Printer

Buying a printer isn't just like going to a grocery store then pick up everything from your item list. There are several questions and factors which should be considered especially for someone who haven't bought a printer before. Figure out every single detail and determine your needs, start by asking yourself with the question "How?". You are supposed to use it for a certain purpose, but how are you planning to do so. Do you intend to make use of it for business or just a personal printer? It's overwhelming and the best way to make it easy is by pointing out your primary purpose of buying a printer.

Office, Home or Business?
A personal printer or home printer somehow serve partly limited features. All-in-one or multifunction printers can either be use for home, office or business printing, it's the machine's additional features that determine its suitable environment. Photo printers usually offer CD/DVD printing functionality, however not all models or brands supports this feature. If the printer is mainly for business, look for high-capacity printers with quoted duty cycle of not below 100,000 pages.

Wired or Wireless?
Wireless networks are available almost everywhere, even mobile devices that supports wireless connection are very common. If your home, office, or business has wireless networking, get a WiFi enabled printer so you set it up over a network where everyone can connect to it and send their prints. Shared printers or workgroup printers offer wider range of printing possibilities. In addition, mobile printing is now widely by most users, hence a printer which supports printing form virtually anywhere bears a lot of importance.

Standard-capacity or High-capacity?
This question can be answered briefly by simply determining the environment from where you plan to use the machine. The level or volume of printing at home is different from the demand in any office or business environment. For home, an input tray with 100-sheet capacity is sufficiently enough, while for larger businesses a 580-sheet tray is more than sufficient.

Supplies and Consumables
Print quality is dependent to the consumables you will be using with your printer, these can either be a laser toner cartridge or an inkjet cartridge, depending on the type of machine you bought. While toners doesn't have much differences, inks have two types such as dye-based and pigment-based. Among these two ink types the first one produces more vivid and high-definition output.

Epson WorkForce WF-2540 Color Inkjet Multifunction Printer

Epson WorkForce WF-2540 Color Inkjet Multifunction Printer
An intricately built all-in-one printer, that's the Epson WorkForce WF-2540 Color Inkjet Multifunction printing machine. Its chassis is coated in a glossy black matte finish, which resembles the aesthetics that runs through the WorkForce family. When it comes to features and output quality, this machine serves more than well enough from what you can expect a color multifunction printer can do.

The WF-2540 features a 2.5 inch LCD display though not a touchscreen which might be more suitable for it. Buttons and keypads are well arranged, starting from the right side - Start, Stop/Reset, B&W, Color, Speed Dial/Group Dial, WiFi setup, Redial/Pause, numeric keypad (with Menu and back buttons at its bottom), directional keys. While the switch button for ON/OFF can be found at the left edge of the front panel, with WiFi LED indicator, plus three buttons (Copy, Fax, Scan) for basic functions.

It supports a 30-page automatic document feeder but it doesn't allow two-sided scanning. Aside from the ADF there's actually a 100-sheet rear mounted input tray. There can be found an adjustable latch for the ADF to support media with sizes up to 8.5 x 14 inches (legal size).

For connectivity interfaces the WF-2540 provides three options, a fast Ethernet, a high-speed USB 2.0, and WiFi for wireless connection. With all these options added the printer's easy setup functionality, setting it up to any PC or connect it over a network, things can be done with ease either way.

Whilst it provides a nice set of features and functionality that you might ever want a multifunction printer to have, a drawback is inevitable. One of which is the WF-2540's high ink cost, although this thing is just too common for an inkjet printer, we all know that customers often prefer machines with lower ink cost or ink consumption. Ink-type printers especially photo printers, they always eat up excessive consumables when printing but it's something considerable if you want a great quality printout. Its consumables are available in standard and high-capacity, the standard black cartridge yields 175 pages while the three colour Epson ink cartridges can yield 165 pages.

If you can afford to keep up restocking expensive ink cartridges for Epson WorkForce WF-2540 Color Inkjet MFP, then go for it. Considering its three connectivity options and nice built, it's really attractive in many ways.

Canon PIXMA MG5450 AIO Photo Printer With Pigment And Dye-Based Black Inks

Canon PIXMA MG5450 AIO Photo Printer
The Canon PIXMA MG5450 AIO Photo printer is a low-profile printing buddy for home use. It's basically an essential machine for photo printing, especially if you want to print images on printable CD/DVD discs. Considering that it's an all-in-one device, however it doesn't support fax functionality nor an ADF (Automatic-Document-Feeder).

Just like its predecessors, the MG5450 adopts the glossy black matte finish, office-style aesthetics which is somehow common from the PIXMA family. Its design is partly different from the previous models from its range, especially its flatbed for scanning purposes. This printer features a full-color LCD screen display about 2.9 inch in size, with three keys below for menu navigation. The LCD is not a touchscreen though, with the ON and Home button at the left side of the front panel, while the other buttons like Black, Color, increase, reduce, 4-direction key are all at the right side.

Paper Handling Capacity
Its main input tray can hold a maximum of 125 plain paper sheets, supplemented with a photo paper tray for glossy medias. The output tray can be found just in front of the machine (the cover with the Canon logo)  which folds down and turns itself as an output tray. The MG5450 supports duplex (double-sided) printing which is considered as one of the printer's key-features.

Connectivity Interfaces
A high-speed USB cable host is included, as well as WiFi support for wireless printing. It features an easy access and stable connection between the machine and a PC or even to a tablet. Setup includes a pack of useful software from Canon such as My Image Garden and Creative Park Premium.

The PIXMA MG5450 offers a rated print speed of up to 15ppm (pages-per-minute) in mono and 10ppm in full-colour printing. Well, if you want a really fast inkjet printer that runs the same like a laserjet, you may consider the HP Officejet Pro Black and White 3610 and 3620 AIO Printers, they're also inkjet printers but with comparable speed like lasers. These two printers can only print monochrome documents, and require black HP inkjet cartridges alone.

It uses five Canon ink cartridges which consist of the standard CYM colors, plus a pigment-based and dye-based black ink tanks. Canon MG5450's consumables are all available in both standard and high-capacity cartridges.

Save 50 Percent Less Energy With HP Officejet Pro 251DW MFP Printer

HP Officejet Pro 251DW MFP Printer
Recently we've got a post about the launching of two new inkjet printers from HP which include Officejet Pro Black&White 3610 and 3620, which are both an all-in-one machine. Although it's an inkjet type, there are certain features from which they can matched up with a laser type printer. Now for our featured printer today, here's another addition to Pro series, the Officejet Pro 251DW printer.

It has an essentially inferior fast print speed, and is also compatible to work with most apps that supports printing through the cloud. Suitable for micro offices, the Pro 251DW can serve as workgroup printer for mid-heavy level of printing needs. The size of it makes the machine a bit off to share a space in your office desk, guess it'll be perfect to let it have it's own space.

Paper handling capacity includes a 250-sheet input tray, a 150-sheet output tray, plus a standard duplexer for double-sided printing which can be useful for any office environments. If you want to max out the paper capacity, there's an available 250-sheet tray which is optional to maximize the machine's capacity by 500 sheets. For connectivity interfaces, the 251DW features a high-speed USB host, built-in Ethernet for wired connection and WiFi support for wireless connection.

The printer's required consumables are claimed to yield up to 2300 pages in plain black text printing, given that you use original HP inkjet cartridges. HP rated the printer with a print speed at up to 20 ppm (pages-per-minute) in mono printing, while 14 ppm in coloured. Set up can be quite easy even for a new printer user, to some who are used to installing such devices it's actually common.

Since it supports printing through the cloud, aside from HP's well-known app called HP ePrint, you can also make use of Apple AirPrint for printing from tablets, smartphone and iOS devices. In addition, to those who don't have access to a wireless point, HP created a workaround by including WiFi Direct to the printer's supported app/softtware. Through Wireless Direct, users are still allowed to print from mobile devices even without a router.

For medium sized offices, the HP Officejet Pro 251DW makes a good choice considering its essential features, and add-on which makes the printer a bit costly compare to other models from its range. When it comes to print speed and paper capacity, this model can give you both plus a bonus of average output quality.

Epson Expression Premium XP-800 Small-In-one Printer

Epson Expression Premium XP-800 Small-In-one Printer
In addition to the Epson Expression family, here's the Premium XP-800, quite identical in many ways with XP-850 but with a cut in price. It's actually an all-in-one ink type printer with redesign technology for less carbon footprint. Compact and powerful that's what the Epson Expression Premium XP-800 would certainly provide.

The XP-800 features an 8.8cm LCD touchscreen display with six icons for easy control and navigation. The printer's control panel moves out whenever a print starts, also the output tray flips out allowing the print to feed out. Whilst when you turn the printer OFF, both doesn't return back to their initial position which means that you have to push it back to its original state.

Checking its bottom reveals two paper feed tray, one that can handle 100 sheets which serves as the main tray, while the other supports 20 sheets and is dedicated for photo papers. Additionally, the XP-800 features an automatic-document-feeder (ADF) which supports up to 30 sheets.

One of its noted feature is the functionality to print in CD/DVD disc, through a disc carrier found at the front of the printer. While at the back, a single-sheet feeder situates, supporting special fold-up paper media. It looks like the surrounding curves and design of the printer reveal much of amusement and feature. To the left, you'll find an ample of memory card slots for MemoryStick and SD cards, as well as for CompactFlash. Exactly just below the slots, there's a USB port compatible for PictBridge digital cameras.

Epson rated the printer at a speed of up to 32ppm (pages per minute) in both black and coloured printing. The XP-800 also supports Duplex (double-sided) printing for minimal paper usage. Connectivity interfaces include : USB ports as mentioned, Ethernet for wired connection, plus WiFi support for wireless printing.

Unlike with some of its predecessors, the Premium XP-800 only uses five cartridges, including the standard CMYK cartridge set, plus a photo black ink that replaced the light cyan and light magenta which can be found on previous models.

In many ways Epson’s Expression Premium XP-800 is similar to the Expression Photo XP-850 we reviewed a couple of months back and yet is nearly £60 cheaper. There’s one primary difference though; whereas the XP-850 uses six colours, with light cyan and light magenta added to the standard CMYK set, the XP-800 employs five, adding a photo black instead. Epson ink cartridges and laser toner cartridges are known for producing quality printouts.

Epson Expression Premium XP-800, a well rounded, compact, all-in-one and affordable printer, suitable for low printing demands. It provides an ample of connectivity options, media feeding and comes with not just a considerably mid-level print speed, but also with an affordable price.

Epson Expression Home XP-200 Color Inkjet Printer

Epson Expression Home XP-200 Color Inkjet Printer
Epson Expression Home XP-200 Color Inkjet Printer
Let's have another compact printer, the Epson Expression Home XP-200, tagged by its manufacturer as a small-in-one AIO Color Inkjet printer. Serves well as a home office printer that can share a limited space in a desk. Although it's an all-in-one printer it doesn't support fax, which is quite considerable, as there's an ample of functionality that you can utilize with the XP-200.

Compact as it is, the Epson Expression Home XP-200 has no touchscreen LCD to offer, instead its navigation interface supports six dedicated buttons situated at the printer's front panel. While most of the printer's features require Internet connection, wireless setup is just too easy as a push of a button. If you're using a WiFi router that supports WPS (WiFi Protected Setup) everything will run smoothly with your printer and router. If by any chance you don't want to connect it over a network, then you may use a USB cable to connect your printer to a PC.

For the print speed, Epson rated the XP-200 at 6.2 ppm (pages-per-minute) for standard black printing, and 3.1 ppm for color printing. It supports borderless printing for letter and A4 size paper media including plain paper, glossy photo paper, paper matte, brochures, flyers and the likes. Paper handling capacity includes an input tray that holds a maximum of 100 sheets, ample enough for a home office printer.

Well since it's not part of the L-series printers that use refillable ink tank system, but the good news is that the XP-200 supports four individual Epson ink cartridges for each color, hence you just have to replace only the tank that runs out of ink. It uses a special type of ink, Epson's DURABrite Ultra Pigment Ink that resists fading for longer lasting printouts. It seems that the company is focusing more on ink type printers, thus they're enhancing their ink technology while still keeping up the margin for laser toner cartridges and laser type printers.

The Epson Expression Home XP-200 is Google Cloud Print ready, additionally a pack of software and apps are readily available for the printer. These include Epson's Scan and Photo Print app, FineReader 9.0 Sprint excellent for scanning PDFs and other similar purposes.

If you try to compare the new ink tank system over traditional ink cartridges, you'll notice a significant difference in terms of cost efficiency, as each ink tank yields up to 4,000 pages.

Upon purchasing an L-series Epson printer, along with the new ink tank system comes a set of a single black 70ml ink bottle and three 70ml colour ink bottles which can last up to 6,500 coloured printouts. For the availability of the L-series printers, Epson announced that the said range will become available by March, while the L800 model will soon be released by May.

This new model offers great features to help you run smoothly a home office or just a small business environment that requires a mid-level printing capacity.

Leaning towards providing a mid-level printing performance, the Canon PIXMA MX926 can also be used for high-level print volume provided that you purchase the XXL-size ink cartridges which are available separately. In plain black (monochrome) printing, if the printer is equipped with high-page-yield cartridges, it can deliver about 1,000 pages of A4-sized printout, suitable for professional business printing medias.

The  Canon PIXMA MX926 features an ADF (automatic-document-feeder) that can handle a maximum capacity of 35 sheets. Users can set a multi-page or even double-sided document on the printer's input tray - applicable for scanning, copying and fax. The printer's main tray (dual-size-capacity) situated at the front is capable of handling up to 250 sheets of A4 sized plain papers, while it can still accommodate photo papers up to 20 sheets, for special purpose printing.

Brother DCP-J925DW Inkjet MFD Printer

Brother DCP-J925DW Inkjet MFD Printer
While Canon keeps on launching extremely high-end multifunction printers particularly the PIXMA family, other major manufacturers seems to take it easy. We haven't heard that much from those big names, although indeed there were releases, quite a few, but Canon as it seems is boasted with more surprises to get out of the box. Let's get enough of Canon besides it got a lot of spotlight recently, so for now we'll be giving the floor to Brother, one of the well known brand in printer manufacturing industry.

The Brother DCP-J925DW Inkjet MFD, capable of handling A4 size media and features an ADF (automatic-duplex-feeder) for double-sided printing. The printer's built and functionality lean towards more for home-office and small-businesses. It has a unique aesthetic with a black glossy plastic scanner lid embellished with some neat textured spiral patterns.

Unfortunately the DCP-J925DW Inkjet printer doesn't support fax, but printing, copying and scanning work really well focusing its performance on what it can certainly provide. Control navigation is through the printer's responsive 8.3cm colour touchscreen LCD display in addition to the side buttons for Power ON/OFF, easy home button, and the three buttons - Mono, Color and Exit.

Paper handling capacity is quite decent, the printer's ADF has a dedicated 20 sheet feeder for multi-page prints, while the input tray supports a 120 sheet capacity. The DCP-J925DW has a quoted print speed of up to 35ppm (pages-per-minute) for mono printing, and about 27ppm for color printing, both capable of handling border less A4 size prints.

Connectivity interfaces include - USB 2.0 port, Ethernet, and Wi-Fi capability, it also supports PictBridge and a wide range of memory cards. It uses a new range of 4 ink cartridges, with a standard print resolution of about 6000x12000dpi (dots-per-inch). According to Brother, their cartridges photo quality may last for as long as 100 years, both with Brother toner cartridges and ink cartridges.

Canon PIXMA MG6320 Wireless InkJet Photo AIO Printer

Canon PIXMA MG6320 Wireless InkJet Photo AIO Printer
PIXMA printers are raining this year, if you're looking for a bountiful selection of high class AIO (all-in-one) printers, then Canon might have not just one, ten or twenty, but more than what you have expected. Ranging in very much reasonable prices and boasted with great features, everyone would brag about these printers. Canon, the printer giant in Japan, released a wave of premium quality business and personal photo printers from last year and still continuing the tide this 2013.

In addition to our recent post - Canon PIXMA MG6370 and PIXMA MG5470 Office AIO Inkjet Printers, on which we introduced two latest model of printers from the Canon MG-series. One would described it as a sophisticated-looking printer, photo-centric, multifunctional and creates exceptional printouts, that's the Canon PIXMA MG6320. When it comes to finest-quality printouts of photos or images, Canon printers serve a very well performance, that's not surprising since you deserved what you paid for.

Canon PIXMA MG6320 Wireless InkJet Photo AIO printer, the replacement printer model for MG6220 which was released back in 2011. Built with an imaging system consisting of six ink tanks for better and professional photo printout quality. It can serve as a light-duty or an all-around printer in most offices, capable enough to deliver printout quality that can compete with its predecessors.

Unfortunately the MG6320 offers no ADF (automatic document feeder), thus printing multiple pages with this printer will somehow be more laborious. But considering its dimension at (HWD) 5.9x18.4x14.6 inches I guest that's a bit acceptable. Featuring an automatic fall-and-extend front panel that also serves as the output tray when printing files, while you can close it up after, or when the printer is not in use.

Sophisticated and high-tech as it is, the PIXMA MG6320 features a touch-sensitive LED button that acts intelligently by displaying appropriate functions on the screen, related to your task. Unlike the typical buttons you might have seen from other printers, Canon embedded the button controls into the lid of the printer's scanner, except for the POWER button and the five-way navigation wheel. It's also equipped with a 3.5 inch touch screen LCD display.

Connectivity interfaces doesn't include a USB port, although it supports other types of memory devices - SD, MS Duo, and CF, a user can still connect to the printer via Wi-Fi,  Ethernet and through the printer's USB cable. Another notable feature of MG6320 is the functionality to print labels on printer-compatible CD/DVD surfaces. My Image Garden is also included in the printer's supported software.

Setting up the printer would be so easy for most printer users, as the LCD displays the entire process that will guide you all throughout the installation process, even the proper replacement of its ink cartridges. The ink system holds four standard colors-CYMK, plus an extra-large black pigment and gray ink cartridges. These technology isn't something new on most latest inkjet photo printers, while for laser type printers that use laser toner cartridges the application of this technology is yet unknown.

All in all, if you're small business or office just needs a minimal-printing capacity, the PIXMA MG6320 Wireless InkJet Photo AIO printer can serve more than enough when it comes to professional business-style printouts and performance.
